A Recent Description (I can’t recall who- So apologies!)

Alternative rock is a very broad field, to copy from Effi Briest and hopefully create a lasting, clever impression. The BAND OF PHANTOMS, in any case, plunder the vastness of this field extensively, mixing the crops they have gathered together into an acoustic balm whose beneficial effects can be difficult to escape.

But to put it another way: if sound transports collide heavily at a Finnish-Norwegian crossroads, one carrying post-punk goods from BEASTMILK/GRAVE PLEASURES and the other carrying freight from Sivert Høyem and the MADRUGADA combine, many of the expected onlookers will not only stay because of the hastily erected sausage stand, but because of the resulting mix of circumstances they will finally have the opportunity to give their happiness a name: BAND OF PHANTOMS.

Last but not least, the international line-up of the five-piece, based in the state capital and deeply rooted in the local scene, gives the quality of this band a special appeal. However, nothing concrete has been heard or read about a long-announced first album other than a rumbling, but as we all know, hope is lost very late - so this restless state of affairs may soon change, because once you've tasted the nectar, .... Promised.
